About this place
There is no printed menu to browse when you take your seat. Instead, the evening begins with a conversation: tell the bartender what kind of flavour or mood you have in mind. Arch Bar in Kita-Senju has a warm, wood-lined interior and soft lighting. Even if you don't know much about spirits, you can describe the sweetness or aromas you enjoy and ask for a suggestion. The friendly approach makes it easy to settle in, even if you're new to bars.
The back bar is lined with a wide selection of whiskies, including the Ardbeg range and Japanese whiskies, and browsing the bottles is part of the pleasure. Alongside classic cocktails, you can ask the bartender to make a seasonal drink featuring fruit such as strawberries. There are counter seats for a quiet drink as you watch the bartender at work, as well as tables where a group can chat in comfort.
Closed on Mondays, Arch Bar opens at 19:00. It serves drinks until 2:00 from Tuesday to Saturday and until 24:00 on Sundays. It's a place to drop into on an evening when you want to unwind in a calm setting at the end of the day.
